Our Story: A Family Legacy Since 1981
Two generations of experience. One mission: helping families and businesses take back their outdoor spaces.
Bee Control is a locally owned, family-operated pest control company specializing in bee, wasp, hornet, yellow jacket, and carpenter bee removal and prevention throughout Indianapolis and surrounding Central Indiana communities.
We believe professional pest control should be straightforward, responsive, and focused on solving the problem.
1981 - Where It All Began
Bee Control's roots go back to 1981, when Carvin Melson founded a general pest control company in Michigan.
1995 - A1 Bee Specialists
In 1995, Carvin transformed the business into A1 Bee Specialists, focusing specifically on stinging-insect removal and prevention throughout southeastern Michigan.
Carvin became an early pioneer in specialized stinging-insect control, developing extensive experience identifying nesting problems, treating infestations, and helping families enjoy their outdoor spaces.
2021 - Bee Control Comes to Indianapolis
Carvin's youngest son, Kevin Melson, continued the family tradition by establishing Bee Control in Indianapolis, Indiana.Today, Kevin carries forward the family's commitment to specialized service, professional treatment, and customer care.
Although Bee Control began serving Indianapolis in 2021, the knowledge and values behind the company reflect a family history spanning more than four decades.
