CARPENTER BEE REMOVAL

Carpenter Bees do structural damage to your home and are very expensive to correct the damage. Carpenter Bees are often confused with bumblebees. Female Carpenter-bees can drill into wood and lay eggs.

If Carpenter Bees are left untreated, they can do a lot of damage to the wood structure of your home. A Carpenter Bee is a solitary creature.  They are called “carpenter bees” because they tend to build their nest in some wood type.

It’s important first to Identify and make sure you are dealing with a carpenter bee. The Bumblebee is about the same size and is quite beneficial in pollinating our flowers and fruit trees. If you are not sure Schedule an appointment and Bee Control Will be there for an inspection.

Carpenter Bee Tips

Bee Control first suggest performing a detailed inspection of your property for areas where you suspect carpenter bee activity. Carpenter bees are most active in the spring and fall seasons. Keep an eye out for holes made in wood siding, railings, fencing, and yellow fecal stains on wood and sawdust (frass).

Residual dust or liquid can be used to control Carpenter Bees. Once the galleries have been treated, use wood putty to prevent reinfestation. You can be stung by carpenter bees during treatment, so use proper precautions to ensure your safety. This includes wearing long sleeve clothing, gloves, goggles, and other protective equipment like a bee veil.

It’s best to contact a Bee Specialist to solve your Carpenter Bee Problem. This will lessen the chance of family, pets, and loved ones getting stung.
