Should I plug a hole if bees or wasps are going in and out?
No. Plugging or spraying the entrance can trap insects inside and force them to find another way out, sometimes into your home. If you see regular activity entering a wall, soffit, vent, or other opening, contact Bee Control so we can identify the nest and treat it properly.
How does Bee Control’s prevention service work?
We inspect your property, identify common nesting areas, and apply prevention treatments to exterior locations where bees, wasps, and hornets are most likely to build nests. Coverage and follow-up depend on the prevention plan you choose.
Why am I seeing wasps or yellow jackets inside my home?
In cooler months, queens may overwinter in attics, wall voids, or other protected areas. When temperatures warm up, they can become active and sometimes find their way indoors. If you’re seeing repeated activity inside, Bee Control can inspect the property and help identify where they’re coming from.
Are your treatments safe around people and pets?
We apply products according to the label and use treatment methods designed to minimize unnecessary exposure. We’ll also let you know if any specific precautions are needed before or after service.
Will an old nest be reused next year?

Most wasp, yellow jacket, and hornet colonies do not reuse the exact same nest the following year. However, if the location is attractive for nesting, new queens may choose that same area again. Honey bee colonies are different and may remain active in the same location for multiple years.
Do you offer prevention for businesses and commercial properties?
Yes. Bee Control offers commercial prevention for businesses and commercial properties, including recurring protection options. Commercial Prevention is $2,000 for the year or $250 per month.
